Hairpin Winding: Guarantee Peak Performance Real-Time with ZeroTouch
High-volume e-motor automotive assemblies require perfect execution to maximize performance and ensure quality performance in the field. Paper slot insulation is inserted into stator cores, and the height and location must be critically ensured. Copper wire is formed into hairpin shapes, inserted into the stator motor to the correct depth and height, and then welded and connected to complete the circuit. Varnish, resin, and highly reflective materials cause this assembly to create challenging inspection requirements.
ZeroTouch provides in-line and off-line solutions to support realtime inspection and analysis to provide feedback to all operations in the flow of production.
Key Benefits:
Replace the need for multiple, slow coordinate measurement machines with in-line inspection with the ability to automate loading and completely couple to the manufacturing process. Additionally, off-line systems can be placed directly on the production floor.
The ZeroTouch® family of non-contact, high-speed metrology and inspection platforms is designed to simultaneously capture and measure multiple part features for stators and other parts that fit within the measurement envelope. An innovative, production-ready system, ZeroTouch captures and analyzes millions of data points faster than conventional metrology systems by combining multiple non-contact sensors to generate a high-density, micron-level digital twin of the component.
Inspect and analyze part workpieces for in-station for all key process characteristics. Utilize the digital twin point cloud captured to perform what-if analysis of features not previously analyzed to support engineering investigations and quality improvement projects.
